You are hereI am fearfully and wonderfully made
I am fearfully and wonderfully made
Someone shared about the wonder of our own selves. He reminded me that I am fearfully and wonderfully made. That my self-worth does not come from my success or failure; neither from my wealth or poverty; nor from my courage and obedience or failing spirit and disobedience. Instead my worth comes from how the Father views me.
The Father's view of me does not change. I am important to Him just because I am. It is I, myself that the Father cares about. Whether I am handsome or pretty (no one ever said that of me), young or old, cleverer or cleverest, the Father still finds me valuable.
The Father does not see my limitations - that I have yet to fulfill my dreams, live in the state I want. He is aware of my limitations. But He sees my potential.
Nor does He see me the way others sees me. I am someone worth dying for, worth redeeming, worth building up. I am someone valuable.
Yet out of the billions in this world, out of the hundreds of billions that ever lived on this earth, who am I that I am valuable? How do I know that?
Because He talks with me.
From what I heard, He talks with others too.
And from what I heard, He wants to talk with everyone.
.......
Because I am valuable, I want to give myself some gifts.
My gifts to myself are:
(1) a healthy body, mind and spirit
(2) a life of peace, joy and stability
(3) financial wealth so that my family and self can live in dignity. And I have enough resources to care for some in the world.
And I start today.
You too, okay?
Because you are worth it.
In the Father's eyes.
Give yourself gifts!
